PILATES

Pilates is a form of exercise that not only improves overall wellbeing but also enhances core strength and stability, postural awareness and control, strength and flexibility and overall muscle tone. It greatly reduces pain associated with musculoskeletal conditions and is a valuable regime for sports injuries, pre and postoperative rehabilitation, pre and postnatal care as well as neurological rehabilitation.

Pilates practice empowers the individual to understand their own body by creating greater awareness and self-management techniques.

Our fully equipped studio has a range of Pilates equipment suited to every ability and our team of Pilates instructors are all professionally trained and cater to every level including the elite athlete, rehabilitative clients, the elderly and children. We offer private one on one classes and small group classes (maximum of 4 participants) where you will be working closely with your instructor based on your needs progressing through your own program.

Our in house referral system between practitioners and instructors ensures our clients get the best management possible to their specific requirements.

Our instructors are all highly qualified and offer varying styles of teaching based on their backgrounds and specific interests and influences. We will match you to an instructor to suit your specific needs.

Are you new to Pilates?

Before commencing small group classes each participant must first attend a one on one individual assessment.

In addition to teaching you the basic principles of Pilates your instructor will discuss with you your needs and goals, assess your posture, strengths and weaknesses.

During this session your instructor will gather information for formulating your individual program and discuss moving you into a small group class when you are ready.

What to wear / bring to class

  • Wear stretchy comfortable clothing and socks with a grip bottom (available for sale at reception if you need)
  • Bring a water bottle and a small towel
  • Please arrive 10 minutes early to your first class to allow time to fill out client history form- read through our cancellation policy located at bottom of form.
  • In the interest of other participants please turn off your mobile phones and keep noise to a minimum during class.
